Senior Backend Developer

Design and ship reliable APIs, data models, and integrations for SaaS and fintech products. Stack is flexible — we care about architecture, correctness, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own backend services from design through production support
  • Model data, APIs, and integrations with clear operational boundaries
  • Improve reliability: observability, retries, idempotency, and failure handling
  • Collaborate with product and frontend on pragmatic delivery
  • Review code and raise the engineering bar on the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production backend systems
  • Strong experience with at least one of: Node.js, Python, Go, Java, .NET, Ruby
  • Solid SQL and relational modeling (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Comfortable with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Clear written communication in English

Nice to have

  • Fintech, payments, or high-compliance domains
  • Event-driven systems, queues, or workflow engines
  • Kubernetes / Terraform experience
